Free Entertainment

 I love my back yard. It's fenced in on two sides with the garage on the other side, so it's rather private. And since I like to plant things, it's rather green. And I have a tame squirrel. He's very good entertainment for Pip and Squirt!

 With the (momentary) return of beautiful summer temperatures, we've got the windows open. I'm not the only one that's happy about that!

He's a little skittish, but he comes up on the porch when I'm sitting in my lawn chair. I feed him popcorn and strawberry tops. Once in a while, he brings a friend. The other one isn't quite as tame, but we'll get there!

Busy Making Plans

I haven't posted lately. Not exactly sure why not, other than I just haven't taken the time. Plus-- January and February-- not much seems to happen. It's kind of a holding pattern. It's been rather mild, actually. A little snow, then a couple of unseasonably warm days, then snow again. I've got two trips coming up in March, so I've been trying to get everything ready for that. The first is in Florida for a week and a half for my cousin's wedding. My best friend lives down there, so I'm excited that I'm going to get to spend a few days with her.

Then on Easter weekend, the hubby and I are going to Chicago to see fantasy man (and comedian) Noel Fielding. (I'm still squeeing about that!)

Then I'm going to spend the rest of the year working to pay for it all. But it will be worth it!

Copy Cats-- because what one does, the other has to do, also. Which is good. That's why I got two kittens instead of one, so they would bond and have each other.

I was eating pistachios and threw the shells in the trash. They were both watching intently the whole time. This is what I found when I turned back around. I pull him out, he jumps back in. I guess I best watch what I throw away if he's going to start doing this. Hopefully, it'll be a passing interest!

It's amazing how much the boys have grown since we brought them home Christmas week. They have been a joy and since we adopted them from the Humane Society they were extremely socialized and they bonded with us quickly. They seem to have reached their "teen years", though. Sleep all day and play all night!

The babies got a good night sleep and now they are terrorizing my (still messy from Christmas) office. They stopped and posed for me for a moment, trying to look all innocent. Now they are walking all over my desk and keyboard. This is taking much longer to type than it should! Oh well, I knew what I was getting myself into when I brought them home. And they really have settled in nicely.
